Day in Auckland today. Plan really was to get our stuff together (of course we have accumulated things on our travels), in preparation for our flight to Tahiti tomorrow.
Got up late, then walked down to the harbour area where we got a light breakfast. Lots of places to eat down here which is great. The weather is also significantly better than it was yesterday afternoon when we got here.
The harbour area is nice, as has some serious boats down there. Also, the Volvo Ocean Race is on its Auckland stop over (used to be the Whitbread round the world race) so there are lots of things going on down here.
Had a bite to eat for lunch (we love to sit outside) in a he sunshine, and watched the world go by. One of two photos of that below 😌
We have a 7am pick up tomorrow morning to take us to the airport – amazing that after 3 months not working, that feels very early 😂
We have both enjoyed New Zealand and, although I’m looking forward to Tahiti and Bora Bora, I shall be slightly sad to leave. We’ve enjoyed everywhere of course, but I think being on our own in the car was fun (most of the time 😌). I can’t believe we are now 6 weeks into this adventure too. It’s a cliche, but it feels like it’s gone quick in some ways.
