So, the ‘day before’ arrived. We had lunch with Claire and Matthew and some of their friends, then headed off to do the tasks assigned to us: Balloons ! 😊😊
We had to take the balloons, get them inflated, then drop them off at the rehearsal dinner location ! That in itself was ok, but the hotel and wedding venue were in the middle of nowhere. Or, with apologies to those that live in Fayetteville Alabama, as close to nowhere as you could probably get. It was probably some 30-40 miles each way to the place where we had to get the balloons done. Or that’s the place Claire TOLD us to go, to get us out for a while 🤔🤔🤔🤔. Anyway, all was ok after driving up, dropping them off, then driving back to get them 😂😂😂😂
Next we went to the rehearsal itself, on the grounds of Pursell Farms which all went as expected, then off to Camelot Manor, near Westover Alabama, for the rehearsal dinner. It was a nice old building. And dinner went fine – not as socially distanced as I would have wished for, but it went fine anyway, with a speech or two.
